Essentially a 1972 C340 with upgraded Engines, turbochargers and intercoolers, bringing the aircraft to "C340A" level.
Engine upgrades from original 265 HP to 310 HP per side. Upgrade adds 300 lbs. to useful load (non-cumulative). Includes larger turbos and intercoolers.
Low Thrust Detector System (LTDS) with heated probes; provides constant comparison of thrust on both engines, and warns pilot of deviation with audible horn, and colored lights on engine control levers.
Vortex Generators add safety for lower stall airspeed, and great useful load – Vortex Generator 300 lbs. to useful load (non-cumulative).
Aircraft gross weight before VG and Engine upgrades – 5995 lbs. Aircraft gross weight after upgrades 6295 lbs. Both upgrades offer 300 lbs. increase, but they are not cumulative.
