Up for sale is my 1967 Piper Cherokee 140. I purchased this aircraft as a time builder for my PPL. I have recently joined a flying club and it makes more financial sense to rent the club planes rather than own my own. This is the only reason I am selling. I bought the plane out of annual and in the last two years, I have installed new tubes and tires, new brake lines, new fuel lines, new LED lighting, a new Garmin GTR-200 PMA radio, and have replaced several pieces of the exterior hardware with new stainless hardware from an aircraft spruce kit. The aircraft has a full STOL kit and the prop was re-pitched to a climb prop (before I purchased the aircraft). The plane files exceptionally well and the takeoff performance is great with the STOL kit and climb prop. I can get in and out of my club's grass strip of 3000' no problem with two adults and 18 gallons in each wing. I have all logs, the wheel pants, and the rear jump seats.
At last annual my mechanic told me before the next annual I need to fix a crack in the aluminum cowl, a crack in the fiberglass nose cone, and the rubber part of the engine baffling needs to be replaced (see photos)
